Dancing Flowers - Mixed Chamber Ensemble: Flute, Clarinet, Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano, Harp, Percussion

With sweeping musical lines and lush harmonies, Dancing Flowers creates a playful soundscape imaging flowers swaying from side to side in a light breeze. The music is light and calming at times, but becomes much darker at other moments in the work. Every so often however, a strong breeze catches the flowers’ pedals on a beautiful summer day, represented as the work builds towards climactic moments. As evening approaches, the work comes to a peaceful conclusion with the same ostinato presented in the opening measures.
